The guest flow starts from the main capture screen. Tapping Tap To Start opens the capture and live-view flow.

During a session

  • The guest sees live view before the countdown starts — the camera must be ready and streaming before the countdown begins.
  • The countdown waits for live view to be ready between frames.
  • The flash effect is synchronized as closely as possible to the actual shutter trigger.
  • After each capture, the latest image remains visible while live view resumes.

Capture modes

OSPHERIX Photobooth supports single-shot and multi-shot session configurations. The number of captures per session is set in Settings → Capture.

Flash synchronization

The on-screen flash effect is triggered at the moment of shutter release. If you use an external studio flash with a PC sync cable or hot shoe trigger, the flash timing depends on your camera's sync speed — consult your camera manual for the maximum flash sync shutter speed.

Live view performance tips

  • Confirm the camera supports live view over USB — some older entry-level DSLRs have limited live view quality over tethering.
  • Close other camera-control software before starting a session.
  • Use a direct USB port rather than a USB hub.
  • Ensure the camera battery or AC adapter is stable — power fluctuation can interrupt live view.
If live view is slow or stuttering, try reducing the live view resolution in Settings → Camera → Live View Quality. High-resolution live view streams consume more CPU and USB bandwidth.

After the session

After the last capture, the app displays the result and can trigger automatic printing or export. The guest can also access the photo via QR code if the gallery server is enabled.
