Operator LAN lets a second device (phone or tablet) control key Photobooth actions from anywhere on the local network. It requires no external app or internet access — everything runs locally.

Setup

  1. Connect the PC and the operator phone/tablet to the same local network (Wi-Fi router or LAN switch).
  2. Open Settings → LAN / Operator LAN and enable the feature.
  3. Note the LAN IP address shown in settings (e.g., 192.168.1.x:3456).
  4. On the operator device, open a browser and navigate to that address, or scan the QR code displayed in the LAN settings panel.

What you can do from the operator interface

  • Trigger a new capture session remotely.
  • Monitor the current session status.
  • View the last captured image.

Troubleshooting Operator LAN

  • Cannot open the address from the phone: confirm both devices are on the same network, not on separate SSIDs (e.g., 2 GHz vs 5 GHz networks that are isolated by the router).
  • Connection refused or page not loading: check that Windows Firewall allowed access for OSPHERIX Photobooth on private networks. Go to Windows Security → Firewall → Allow an app.
  • Wrong IP shown: use the LAN IP shown in the app settings, not a VPN or GoPro network IP. The correct IP is typically in the 192.168.x.x range.
  • QR code does not scan: ensure the screen brightness is adequate and the camera on the phone is focused. You can also type the IP address manually in the phone's browser.
Operator LAN works entirely offline — it does not require internet access. The local server runs on port 3456 by default. If that port is blocked, check your router and Windows Firewall settings.
