OSPHERIX 360 uses the OpenGoPro flow to wake and connect the camera without requiring the GoPro Quik app in the normal event workflow. The connection uses Bluetooth for the initial bootstrap and then Wi-Fi for data access.

Connection steps

  1. Turn on the GoPro and make sure both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled on the camera.
  2. Open OSPHERIX 360 and go to Settings → GoPro.
  3. Enter your GoPro's Wi-Fi SSID and password if you know them (recommended for faster reconnects).
  4. Click Connect from the main control screen.
  5. The app will pair via Bluetooth first, then switch to Wi-Fi.
  6. If the first Wi-Fi handoff attempt times out, click Connect again — the Bluetooth pairing is already established and the second attempt succeeds faster.

Important notes

  • Ethernet internet access on the PC does not interfere with GoPro Wi-Fi on a separate adapter.
  • If Windows asks for network or firewall permissions, allow access on private networks.
  • Keep the GoPro Wi-Fi credentials saved in settings to avoid re-entering them at each event.
  • The GoPro Wi-Fi network (typically 10.5.5.x) must not be used for guest QR codes — use the guest LAN adapter instead.

Bluetooth pairing on first use

On the very first connection, Bluetooth pairing must be completed. The app handles this automatically — you may see a Windows Bluetooth prompt. Accept the pairing request. On subsequent connections, Bluetooth pairing is remembered and the process is faster.

If the connection repeatedly fails after the Bluetooth step, try restarting the GoPro and clicking Connect again. Occasionally the GoPro Wi-Fi AP takes a few seconds longer to become available after the Bluetooth bootstrap.
