After a license is validated online, the app stores a local signed license token. Offline use continues until the real license expiration date, as long as the local license state is intact and the PC clock has not been manipulated.

Activating your license

  1. Open the app — the License Gate appears on first launch or after license expiry.
  2. Enter your license key and click Activate.
  3. The app validates the key with the OSPHERIX license server (requires internet).
  4. On success, the local signed token is written. The app unlocks all licensed features.

Pre-event offline preparation checklist

  • Validate the license online before going to the venue.
  • Open the app once while connected to the internet and confirm Mode: Licensed and State: active in the license panel.
  • Do not clear local app data or reinstall Windows before the event without re-validating first.
  • If Windows is reinstalled, reconnect to the internet once so the app can re-bootstrap the license token.
The app does not need internet access during events. The local license token is valid until the expiration date in your license. Only the initial activation and periodic lease renewal (approximately every 30 days) require internet connectivity.

License expiry

When your license expires, the app will display the License Gate again. You can renew by purchasing a new license period from ospherix.com/pricing.html and activating the new key.

Multiple machines

Each license is tied to a single device. If you need to move the license to a new PC, contact support to request a license transfer. License transfers are subject to the terms in the Software License Agreement.
